英文是世界共通語言,也是求學時必學的語言,但許多學生常常學一次就忘一次,就連國立大學生的英文也是慘不忍睹。清大榮譽教授李家同昨(15日)在臉書PO出了一位國立大學生所寫的英文句子,讓他感嘆實在沒藥醫。

李家同在臉書表示,一位國立大學教授跟他說,自己教的學生英文很差,並把學生所寫的英文句子傳給李家同看,李家同一看差點沒昏倒,以下是該學生所寫的英文造句:

1. Your brother had been eaten two apples.

2. He begin play piano.

3. Can he swimming?

4. Did he had many books?

5. Does you see?

6. Do they jumping?

7. Does she likes

8. They are not take a nap now.

9. He should walks

10. She always a teacher.

11. Does she calling her mother?

13. Had he being many books.

14. You can walk one hour help to sleep well.

15. Do them daughter want

16. So math not good.

17. I have went there many times.

李家同說,他貼出來是希望大家要知道為何會發生這種事,他說台灣的英文教科書從來沒有好好解釋英文基本文法,教育部永遠不知道小孩子必須學會一些最基本的文法,比方說在助動詞do的後面要跟原式,可是我們所有的教科書沒有提到這點,也從來沒有在教科書裡面告訴孩子主詞是第三人稱單數現在式的時候,後面的動詞要加S。

李家同表示,他已經說了20年,但台北市的大官們和負責英語的大教授仍然當耳邊風,他感嘆小孩不是不會,但根本沒人教,就像一個打籃球的小孩,卻沒人跟他說不能帶球走,導致小孩一輩子犯這種錯誤。

李家同感嘆,或許哪一天政府官員可以了解這個問題的嚴重性,但似乎是沒希望了,只能長嘆一聲。

不少人留言發表看法:「要是學校有教好基礎文法,怎麼還有這麼多補習班」、「基礎是最重要但也最容易被忽略的」、「台灣教育只強調死背,卻不會教學生理解」。
