\n 1. It's very difficult to look for a job. \n 2. Don't speak aloud, you'll wake the baby. \n 3. He was made repeat the whole story. \n 4. Hard work can often make up a lack of intelligence. \n 5. May be he is right. \n 6. I found my bag missed. \n 7. The client always mistook me as my colleague. \n 8. More you read, more you learn. \n Debugged \n 1. It's very difficult to find a job. What are you looking for? It is very difficult to find a job. \n 2. Don't speak loud, you'll wake the baby. What did you say? Oh, nothing, I was just thinking aloud.(我只不過自言自語。) \n 3. He was made to repeat the whole story. \n make的句型為"make somebody do (doing) something". \n 4. Hard work can often make up for a lack of intelligence. \n make up是「創造」、「編織」,而make up for是「彌補…… \n 5. Maybe he is right. \n maybe是副詞,不要錯用為may be. \n 6. I found my bag missing. I missed the first train, I don't want to miss seeing the famous football player. \n 7. The client always mistook me for my colleague. \n mistake……fo…… I took your book for mine. \n 8. The more you read, the more you learn.

\n 1. It is unknown if he will come. \n 2. Whom do you think would like to come for a game of football? \n 3. I hope you to be a good assistant. \n 4. I can't do this work well without you help me. \n 5. This girl is looking for a work at the bank. \n 6. A: What did you say? B: Oh, nothing, I was just thinking loudly. \n Debugged: \n 1. It is unknown whether he will come. 不宜用if而要用whether的情況有: \n ﹝1﹞I didn't know whether you'll go or not. (因句中有or not選項。) \n ﹝2﹞He didn't know whether to visit the old man. \n ﹝3﹞I'm interested in whether he'll go. \n ﹝4﹞ Let me know whether you can come. \n 2. Who do you think would like to come for a game of football? Who would like to come for a game of football? \n 3. I wish you to be a good assistant. \n hope不能加受詞再加受詞補語,而wish則可以,如:I wish you luck. \n 4. I can't do this work well without your help. \n 5. This girl is looking for a job at the bank. \n 「找工作」一般應為to find a job,而work作為「工作」時為不可數名詞,不加a,也不加s。 This painting is one of his great works. 而works作為「工廠」時單複數形式相同,如:an iron works或two iron works. The steel works is closed for the holidays. \n 6. A: What did you say? B: Oh, nothing, I was just thinking aloud.
